X-Men ’97 struck all the right notes when it debuted its first season on Disney Plus in 2024, and the series is coming back to rip up our screens again this summer. Marvel dropped an action-packed new trailer on Wednesday for season 2, and the animated hit will arrive on July 1.
A mutant massacre in season 1 left the X-Men crew in shambles after attacks by Bastion left many dead. Gambit’s death was devastating for fans and Rogue, and by the last episode, the heroes were scattered across the past, present and future, with various versions of their nemesis, Apocalypse, looming on the scene.
