These 3 Fire TV Sticks are on sale at Best Buy – here’s the one I recommend (and why)

The $25 Fire TV Stick is my favorite Prime Day purchase yet

Best Buy has some legitimately great deals on Amazon devices right now, including three Fire TV Sticks priced as low as they were during Prime Day. For a limited time, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is now $35 (save $25), the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus is $25 (save $25), and the Fire TV Stick HD is only $20 (save $15).

Also: Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 vs. Moto Razr Ultra: I’ve spent time with both, here’s what I prefer

I bought the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus at $25 during Prime Day last month, and it was (and still is) the lowest price we’ve ever seen this streaming device hit. Amazon Prime Day is a yearly shopping event where Amazon discounts many products, including its own devices, so seeing the same price from last Prime Day at Best Buy just bolsters the legitimacy of this deal.

As its name suggests, the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus supports 4K-resolution TVs, so you can stream 4K content on compatible TVs without issues. With 2GB of RAM, this streaming stick is really fast for the money, delivering snappier performance than my older Fire TV Sticks and even my Fire TV Series 4.

Also: I tested this fan-equipped MagSafe charger in a heat wave – and it actually kept my iPhone cool

The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus also supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos, as long as your TV and audio system do. It’s compatible with Wi-Fi 6, if you have it at home, which helps reduce buffering, especially on busy networks.

The Fire TV Stick HD is the 2026 release of the most basic Fire TV streaming stick. It supports full HD resolution and Wi-Fi 6. It’s also powered by your TV with an included USB-C cable, eliminating the need for a wall adapter and making it the most portable Fire TV Stick.

Finally, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max  has all the features from the 4K Plus, but also supports Wi-Fi 6E and has 16GB of storage for better performance while carrying more installed apps than other Fire TV Stick devices.

Something different I noticed about this Fire TV Stick 4K Plus is the new interface that Amazon has begun rolling out on newer devices. I already considered the Fire OS interface the hardest to navigate among popular streamers, but I don’t find the new layout any easier. I just bought this 4K Plus during Prime Day, so I may just need some time to get used to it.

However, if you have an Echo speaker and other Alexa smart home devices, one of these Fire TV Stick devices is a great way to expand your ecosystem. You can use the voice remote to control compatible smart home devices and to use Amazon’s improved AI-powered search feature. This lets you ask more natural search prompts, like “find funny action movies” instead of searching for a title or actor.

    How I rated this deal

After researching the price history of the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Plus, I found that $25 is the lowest price we’ve seen for it yet. Though $25 is the lowest historical price, Amazon has already dropped it to that level during past big sales events. For this reason, and because it could go even lower during future big sales, I gave this deal a 4/5.

While many sales events feature deals for a specific length of time, limited-time deals are subject to expiring at any time. These Fire TV Stick deals are part of Best Buy’s Black Friday in July sale, which ends Sunday, July 26.
