Wondering if you can watch “Schitt’s Creek” for free? You may be in luck, as all six seasons of Dan Levy’s iconic sitcom are about to start streaming on the U.K.’s biggest free streaming service.

Brits abroad needn’t miss out, though. We’ve found a simple way to watch “Schitt’s Creek” from anywhere, even if you’re visiting the U.S., Canada or Australia.

    ‘Scitt’s Creek’: Free Stream

Created by father and son duo Eugene and Dan Levy and showrun by the latter, “Schitt’s Creek” is a one of a kind sitcom that’ll have you rolling with laughter before it hits you square in the feels.

The award-winning show follows the wealthy Rose family: video store magnate patriarch Johnny (played by Eugene Levy), his wife, former soap opera actress Moira (played by Catherine O’Hara) and their adult children David (Dan Levy) and Alexis (Annie Murphy).

“Schitt’s Creek” earned itself a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, as well as a cabinet bothering amount of awards, including Golden Globes, Primetime Emmys and Canadian Screen Awards, as well as accolades for its LGBTQ+ representation from the GLAAD Media Awards.

Yet to delve into one of the best sitcoms of the last decade? Read on as we show you how to watch “Schitt’s Creek” from anywhere in the world for free with a VPN.

How to watch ‘Schitt’s Creek’ for free (U.K.)

In the U.K., all six seasons of “Schitt’s Creek” stream for free on BBC iPlayer from Saturday, June 6, 2026. All you need is a simple account, a UK postcode (e.g. SE1 7PB), and a valid TV licence.

Not in the U.K. right now? Use NordVPN (save 75%) to watch your usual streaming services when roaming abroad. Not all VPNs work for this, which is why we recommend Nord.

How to watch ‘Schitt’s Creek’ streams from anywhere

Outside the country and worried about missing your “Schitt’s Creek” stream? Fear not, because a VPN will help you access your home stream of the show.

The software sets your devices to appear to be back in your home country regardless of where in the world you are. So, it’s ideal for “Schitt’s Creek” fans away on vacation or on business. Our favorite is NordVPN. It’s the best on the market for streaming and privacy:

Using a VPN is incredibly simple.

    1. Install the VPN of your choice. As we’ve said, NordVPN is our favorite.

    2. Choose the location in the VPN app. For instance if you’re in the U.S. and want to watch “Schitt’s Creek” on BBC iPlayer, you’d select ‘United Kingdom’ from the list.

Is ‘Schitt’s Creek’ also streaming on Netflix?

Yes – but only in selected territories. TLDR: It’s available on Netflix U.S. and Canada – but has been removed from Netflix U.K. British fans can watch all six seasons of “Schitt’s Creek” for free on BBC iPlayer from June 6, 2026.

Background: The Canada-made sitcom started life in 2015 on the country’s CBC network before arriving on Pop TV in the U.S. a little later. Following the third season, the show began appearing in Netflix libraries around the world, including in the U.S. and Australia. The show proved the perfect antidote to the then-ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, with it spending over 50 consecutive days in the Netflix Top 10 during 2020, while social media became flooded with “Schitt’s Creek” quotes and memes.
