School supplies are necessary, but that doesn’t mean they have to be boring. Instead of choosing a dull plastic pencil case, standard one-shade spiral notebooks, and plain old square sticky notes, choose whimsy. Opt for a canvas pencil pouch with a beautiful design, a smart, reusable journal that could last you all four years of college, and cute animal-themed sticky notes that’ll make you smile every time you see them.
It’s impossible to spruce up all of your school supplies. Some supplies have to stay boring, like lined notebook paper, glue sticks or other art supplies, and solid-colored notebooks requested by some teachers. But you can start your year off on the right foot by jazzing up the supplies you do have creative control over.
