Dell has just announced its latest model in its popular XPS laptop series — the XPS 13 DX13260. This new casual laptop is the thinnest and lightest model in the XPS lineup yet, making it super portable for on-the-go work.
This brand-new model has a more refined aluminum body and adds upgraded internals and battery life over earlier XPS laptops. It’s made for busy professionals and students on the go, and for anyone who, like me, has carried around a chunky MacBook for years, the XPS 13 could be a life (or at least a shoulder) saver.

Measuring just 12.7mm thin and weighing in at a tiny 2.2 lbs, the XPS 13 is built for maximum portability. It fits easily into tight spaces, perfect for places like airplane tray tables or small desks, and it slips effortlessly into a backpack or tote bag without weighing you down.
While its specs obviously aren’t competing with high-end laptops, the XPS 13 is great if you’re just after a decent portable laptop for work or school. You can stream up to 17 hours of Netflix on a single charge, thanks to its power-saving display. This means that, if you can tear yourself away from binging on the latest box sets, you can also get through a full day of video calls for work or classes without scrambling for a charger. Great for me, as someone who has a reputation for stealing my coworkers’ chargers, because I left mine at home.
The XPS 13 also manages everyday tasks like editing documents, multitasking, or even light gaming with ease. The Intel Core Series 3 and Intel Core Ultra processors deliver fast performance and great graphics. With up to 32GB of memory and 1TB of storage, it’s ready for almost anything you want to do.
The 2.5K (2560 x 1600) LCD InfinityEdge touchscreen measures a nice 13.4 inches. Best of all, it uses Eyesafe® technology to reduce blue light, so you get a great viewing experience that’s easy on your eyes for those long study sessions (or for binging the latest series, I won’t judge).

One thing I really appreciate is that XPS 13 is built with the environment in mind. It uses a lot of recycled materials, like 50% recycled plastic in the chassis and up to 75% recycled aluminum in the top cover and palm rest. The battery also includes 50% recycled cobalt. Neat!
