Kingston/ZDNET
With AI companies snapping up RAM and storage drives to build data centers and train LLMs, prices on vital components and pre-built rigs have skyrocketed. This means that gamers and DIY PC builders are putting upgrades and new purchases on hold in the hope that the market will eventually correct itself.
If you’ve been putting off a new build or upgrade, this Memorial Day weekend, you can save $176 on the 64GB Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 kit at Best Buy, bringing the price back to just under $1,000.

This DDR5 RAM kit gives you 64GB of memory on two sticks for an instant upgrade to any gaming PC or creator workstation. The high capacity means data-heavy game assets and large files will load faster, and you’ll have more bandwidth for multitasking across programs. Both sticks feature an all-black, low-profile design that’s perfect for minimalist builds or PCs that have to pull double duty as a gaming rig and workstation.

You’ll get a base clock speed of 4,800MHz, which is already a big improvement over home-and-office-grade RAM, but you can push the Kingston Fury Beast kit even further with a maximum overclock speed of 6,400MHz. With AMD Expo certification, you can create multiple overclocking profiles for optimal performance across a variety of games. If you prefer Intel-based builds, the kit is also Intel XMP 3.0 certified, providing ready-made overclocking profiles for hassle-free performance boosts.
How I rated this deal
I know this kit is still very expensive, and it’s overkill for most PC gamers, but with a nearly $176 discount, it’s the lowest price I’ve seen on a 64GB kit in a very long time. The dual-stick set has a maximum clock speed of 6,400 MHz for serious gaming and content creation. And it’s AMD Expo-certified, allowing you to create multiple overclocking profiles for your favorite titles. That’s why I gave this deal a 3/5 Editor’s rating.
