Times Square is soon to get a new flashy venue on someone else’s dollar – better yet, 50 Cent’s. The hip-hop rapper turned business mogul, formally known as Curtis Jackson, is launching a partnership with Planet Hollywood Times Square called PH Live, designed to become a new hub for entertainment.
The next‑generation venue is being developed through a $100 million partnership aimed at bringing new life to the once‑iconic ’90s restaurant brand. The space will host celebrity appearances, live music, film premieres, private events, and cultural moments, positioning itself as a new destination for both New Yorkers and global visitors.
What They’re Saying About the Project
“Planet Hollywood has always been connected to pop culture, and PH Live takes that energy to the next level a place where music, film, sports and nightlife collide,” Jackson said in a press release. The partnership builds on his successful residency at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas and the recent debut of his 50 Cent Candy Shop Bar at the resort.
This new venture marks Jackson’s first major restaurant and entertainment partnership. “This is about creating the ultimate entertainment destination,” he said.

Jackson and Planet Hollywood CEO Robert Earl plan to grow PH Live into a franchise with multiple locations, according to the release. They are also exploring a private membership program offering exclusive access to events, priority reservations, VIP perks, and invitation‑only experiences.
The venue is slated to have a restaurant, in which Jackson will have a curated selection of his personal and favorite dishes, including sweet chili shrimp and a signature burger. The decor will showcase 50 Cent memorabilia, with clips from the films and television projects he has been part of both in front of and behind the camera.
50’s Expanding Empire
Though this marks Jackson’s first move into hospitality, the ’90s hip‑hop star has steadily expanded his entrepreneurial footprint. In Louisiana, he is continuing to build up Shreveport as an emerging entertainment hub, investing more than $124 million to launch his film and TV production company, G‑Unit Studios, and acquiring nearly 20 downtown properties.
