Europe’s travel and hospitality sector is being reshaped by a new generation of startups tackling some of the industry’s most practical challenges.

From hotel operations and campsite management to eSIM connectivity, flight tracking, tax-free shopping, and AI-powered customer engagement, these companies are building tools that make travel smoother for customers and more efficient for operators.

Together, they show how TravelTech is moving beyond booking platforms and becoming part of the infrastructure that supports the entire travel journey.

On that note, if you’re looking for a place to connect with some of the most forward-thinking minds in the industry, the FutureTravel Summit 2026 is the perfect place to be!

Taking place in Barcelona, the summit will feature a curated programme of keynotes, panels, and a fast-paced pitch competition. It is a unique opportunity to gain insights into the sector’s momentum and meet those who are shaping the future of travel.

In this article, we highlight 10 European startups bringing fresh technology to travel and hospitality.

*All were founded between 2023 and 2026, and the list is organised alphabetically. All funding data sourced from Dealroom.co.

Headquartered in Vienna, chatlyn is building an AI communication hub for hotels. Its platform brings guest communications from channels such as email, WhatsApp, SMS, webchat, social media, and booking platforms into one system, while offering automation, real-time translation in over 35 languages, and integrations with property management systems.

The startup aims to become the “AI brain for hotels” by supporting front desk, reservations, marketing, and guest services teams with faster and more personalised communication. Since its founding in 2023, Chatlyn has raised €8 million in funding to accelerate product development, expand geographically, and strengthen its team.

Grand PMS is a Danish hospitality startup offering an all-in-one property management system powered by AI and designed specifically for the hospitality industry. Its platform supports accommodation and hospitality operators with core property management tools, helping them manage daily operations through software built around the needs of hotels and similar businesses.

Wingbits is a Stockholm-based aviation tech startup founded in 2023, creating a flight tracking network powered by contributors around the world. Its system collects aircraft tracking data through antennas maintained by aviation enthusiasts, turning a traditionally unpaid community into an active part of the data infrastructure behind real-time flight visibility.

It uses blockchain technology to reward contributors based on the quality of the data they provide, including performance, coverage, and uptime. By building one of the world’s largest community-driven flight tracking datasets, Wingbits aims to improve aviation data reliability and support use cases such as reducing delays, optimising routes, and improving operational efficiency. The startup has raised €7.8 million in total funding.
