Lenovo just showed off its new generation of ThinkCentre neo Gen 6 desktop AI PCs, and the standout is the ThinkCentre neo 55a Gen 6 all-in-one. This has a 23.8-inch display with a smooth 100Hz refresh rate, which is enough to take on the iMac’s all-in-one offering.
The ThinkCentre neo 55a Gen 6 is the perfect choice if you’re looking for an AI-powered desktop without all the cable clutter. It comes with up to an AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processor with an integrated Neural Processing Unit that can hit up to 50 TOPS, meaning it’s built to handle those new, demanding AI features like Microsoft Copilot+.
But the real showstopper is that 23.8-inch display. Not only is it a vibrant Full HD (1920×1080) IPS panel with 99% sRGB coverage, but it also runs at a 100Hz refresh rate. This is a massive leap over the typical 60Hz you see on most office-oriented all-In-ones, making scrolling, video playback, and general desktop usage look and feel much smoother overall. Inside, you get up to 32GB of 5600MHz DDR5 memory and up to 1TB of M.2 PCIe SSD storage.
It comes with a 5MP camera with an eShutter for privacy and features like AI Noise Suppression, Face & Group Tracking, and Lenovo Smart Meeting Tools to make your video calls seamless. You even get an integrated AI assistant called Lenovo AI Now that helps with summarizing, drafting documents, and locating files. For audio, it has dual 3W Harman speakers tuned with Dolby Audio.
If you need a bit more expandability and power, the ThinkCentre neo 55s Gen 6 is a next-generation small form factor desktop that’s also coming from Lenovo. It has a Ryzen 7 AI 300 Series processor and graphics options up to a 4GB AMD Radeon RX 6400. For storage, you get up to 2TB of M.2 2280 SSD storage and up to 64GB of 5600MHz DDR5 memory.
For a powerful machine you can literally hide behind a monitor, the ThinkCentre neo 55q Gen 6 is a great choice. It’s a tiny powerhouse, measuring only 7.2 inches long and weighing about 2.49 lbs. Despite its petite size, it doesn’t skimp on performance, with up to an AMD Ryzen 5 AI 300 series processor, up to 64GB of DDR5 memory, and up to 2TB PCIe Gen4 SSD storage.
With that 100Hz display, the ThinkCentre neo 55a Gen 6 AIO is a serious new competitor to the long-dominant Apple 24-inch iMac, which still has a 60Hz refresh rate. While Apple’s offering has a higher-resolution 4.5K Retina display, it still uses a standard 60Hz refresh rate and is so much more expensive at $1,299. You’re also getting features like up to 32GB of DDR5 memory and up to 1TB of fast SSD storage right out of the box without the ‘apple tax’.
You can pick up the ThinkCentre neo 55a Gen 6 starting at $549, which is a great value for this all-in-one. The starting price for the 55s is an incredibly affordable $479. The price for the tiny 55q desktop starts at a reasonable price of just $499. You can get all three from the official Lenovo website.
