Super Bowl LX is approaching fast and is bound to be one of the most-watched television events of the year. While we don’t yet know which teams will be competing — we’ll have to get through the AFC and NFC Championship games on Jan. 25 to find out who’s in — we do know the halftime show features one of the biggest music stars on the planet.
Broadcasting from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, Super Bowl LX will take place on Sunday, Feb. 8. Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny, who currently holds the title as the most-streamed artist in the world, will perform during the Apple Music Halftime Show. But he’s just one of many big names on the schedule.
Here’s a quick look at everything you need to know about how to watch the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show and the rest of the performances before the game, too.
Who’s performing in the Super Bowl LX pre-show?
Bad Bunny is the main act, but the big game will kick off with a pre-game lineup of performers who will hit the stage at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.
With the 60th Super Bowl taking place in the Bay Area, it makes sense that a local band would kick off the festivities. East Bay natives Green Day will participate in an opening ceremony featuring some of their biggest songs. The opening ceremony will also include appearances from previous Super Bowl MVPs (tune in to see who).
Pre-game performances will also include pop star Charlie Puth, who is set to perform the national anthem. Singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile will sing America the Beautiful and Grammy-winning singer and actor Coco Jones will perform Lift Every Voice and Sing. These performances are all scheduled just before kickoff.
The pre-show performances will also be delivered by American Sign Language interpreters. The national anthem and Lift Every Voice and Sing will be performed by deaf performing artist Fred Beam, and Julian Ortiz will sign America the Beautiful. With Bad Bunny’s performance expected to be mainly performed in Spanish, his halftime show also will include a multilingual signing program featuring Puerto Rican Sign Language interpreter Celimar Rivera Cosme.
When to watch Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show
Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny, gets top billing for halftime. No special guests have been officially announced to join him on stage but if the most recent halftime performances are any indication, it’s likely he’ll invite some famous friends to perform with him. We’ll just have to wait to see who they are.
The Super Bowl will air live on NBC, Universo and Telemundo, and streaming live on Peacock on Sunday, Feb. 8. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET, and the pre-show starts at 6 p.m. ET. Spanish-language broadcasts will also be available on Telemundo and Universo.
It’s expected that halftime would fall somewhere between 8 and 8:30 p.m. ET, so if you’re only planning to tune in to see Bad Bunny perform Debí Tirar Más Fotos, you’ll probably want to turn the TV on around 8 p.m. ET.
How to watch the Super Bowl Halftime Show without cable
You can tune in to comprehensive coverage of Super Bowl LX by streaming it all on Peacock. The Super Bowl can also be streamed on NBC, Telemundo and Universo via a live TV streaming service like YouTube TV, DirecTV or Hulu Plus Live TV. (Note that because of ongoing contract issues between NBC Universal and Fubo, coverage of the game will not be available on Fubo this year.)
Peacock offers access to live sports events like the Super Bowl or Winter Olympics on both of its subscription plans. Peacock Premium with ads costs $11 a month, and the ad-free Premium Plus plan is $17.
